Biography
Countertenor Randall Scotting impresses and delights audiences with a blend of commanding stage presence, rich voice, and innate musicality. The 2010-11 season began for Mr. Scotting with the title role in Handel’s Orlando with Sacramento Opera. He then sang and recorded the role of Stefano in the modern day premiere of Antonio Caldara’s oratorio Santo Stefano with the ensemble Savaria Baroque in Budapest. Randall makes his anticipated debut in the title role of Handel’s Giulio Cesare with Fort Worth Opera before going to Mexico to sing in Handel’s Rinaldo for the Teatro Degollado. In coming seasons he returns to New York to perform Giuliano in Cavalli’s Eliogabalo.
In the 2009/2010 season Mr. Scotting appeared in Budapest singing the title roles in Handel’s Orlando with the Liszt Ferenc Orchestra and Vivaldi’s il Tigrane with the Budapest Kamaraoper. He also joined the New York Philharmonic for Ligeti’s opera Le Grand Macabre and he performed with the...
